A multiband patch antenna with embedded square split ring resonators in non-Homogeneous substrate

The authors have attempted to influence an embedded square split ring resonator (SSRR) response in a stacked non-homogeneous substrate demonstrate quad-band antenna. purpose is produce multiband operations of microstrip patch highlighted factor the effect embedding SSRR and differing relative permittivity on side length SSRR. analysis shows that dual produces multiple bands compared single antenna without any parameter change. A fabricated using FR4 Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 copper clad sheets with dimension 85.6x54x0.908 mm3 (0.314λ0x0.198λ0x0.003λ0). resonates at 1.1, 2.45, 3.65 5.25 GHz L-, S- C-bands. It possible employ WLAN (dual-band) WiMAX applications suitable for mobile broadcast service 1.1 GHz. compare simulated measured results prototype article. maximum gain 5.48 dBi 4.025 bandwidth 60 MHz (1.2%)
